Privacy Policy
Visionary is a native macOS application built by Igor Rusinov. This policy explains what data the app accesses and how it is handled.
What Visionary accesses
Visionary accesses image files only in folders you explicitly select using the macOS folder picker. The app reads image metadata and pixel content solely to detect duplicates and generate thumbnails for display within the app.
Your data never leaves your device
Visionary performs all image analysis locally on your Mac using Apple's Vision framework. No images, thumbnails, file names, or analysis results are ever transmitted to any server. There is no backend, no analytics service, and no telemetry.
iCloud sync (optional)
If you are signed into iCloud, Visionary uses iCloud Key-Value Storage (NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore) to sync two numbers across your devices: total scans performed and total space saved. No image data or file paths are included. You can disable iCloud sync for Visionary in System Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud.
In-app purchases
Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. Visionary does not collect or store your payment information. Your purchase receipt is verified locally against Apple's transaction history.
Sandboxing and file access
Visionary is a sandboxed Mac App Store app. It can only access folders you grant access to via the system folder picker. It uses security-scoped bookmarks as required by macOS and does not retain access to your files between sessions beyond what the operating system provides.
No tracking or advertising
Visionary contains no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services, no third-party analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
Children's privacy
Visionary does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Using the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
